The Spanky Wilson – Sunshine of your love edit half way through this mix is fucked up. Infact the whole mix is legit.

The Entertainer by Skratch Bastid

Its almost that time again!

A few weeks till another Ali Classic. Easily my favourite day of the year. I think i say that every time a post something about the day.

Gabrielle Pool

Being lucky enough to work in the creative industry, i sometimes get to see some pretty crazy places and meet some cool people. Gabrielle has this giant old mechanics garage (converted of course) in Woolloomoollo, filled with her amazing mixed media artworks. Here is some stuff i took on my phone, it doesn’t even nearly give it the justice it deserves.

Who needs a ski

The first aussie to paddle into Jaws, Jeff Rowley. Now ive never towed into waves before and to be honest you’ve got to be slightly eff’d in the head to take on waves you cant paddle into so i have a somewhat bias view. But ive always thought towing in was horse shit. It takes the fear out of making the take off. That being said, the session out chopes “code red” would not have happened without a ski and thats some of, if not the gnarliest surfing ive seen since forever. This is from the start of Janary but you can see some new footage on coastalwatch, just search Jeff Rowley.

some new work..

Christmas Time

Just got the first rolls back out of my new but old camera.

Wave Gardens.

The guys at wave-garden.com are doing some pretty amazing things. They’re saying they can put these wave pools anywhere, get waves up to 3foot solid and tubes for 3clicks!

Simon Stock

When i was traveling straight out of school i had a shot similar to this, obviously not quite as good. I didnt have a lappy then and was getting all the shots i had from south america (this is on the road from santiago over the andes to mendoza) pulled off my digi and for some eff’d up reason the camera joint deleted all my shots.. You can image the frustration.. No more shots of new years in buenos aires, surfing in northern chile with some local boogers and wild benders in iqueque all gone.

He’s pretty good at moving pictures too… Everyone has something they love doing. (excuse the banana hammocks)

Pretty effing dope.

Christophe Kutner

As far as mentors go, Christophe had a pretty good one. Horst Paul Albert Bohrmann. Synonymous with the creation of images of elegance, style and rarefied glamour for 60 years. In 1993, Christophe began his own photography career. Raw story telling.

Found you!

You would be lying if you said theres a better wave than this with no-one out! It took me three nights perusing the intraweb machine to find where this spot is. Now i just need some adventure buddies to brave the 11 degree water, a huge seal colonie and heaps of sharks. No Biggie.

Paul

Paul is and 82 year farmer. He still works 5 days a week at his Ingelside glass house growing his own breeds of tomatos. The smaller cherry tomato type are a blend of three different breeds and are called chandelier tomatos and the big suckers are a capsicum/tomato blend  called Aussie Royales. Paul was kind enough to give me a vine of the chandeliers and a couple of the aussie royales, sliced them up and had bruccetta last night. Insane.
